Waltham Crosss Amateur Boxing Club recently hosted an exciting event at the Wodson Sports Centre in Hertfordshire on Saturday, October 7th. The event featured 20 evenly matched and highly competitive bouts, bringing together various clubs from near and far, including Waltham Cross, Broad Street, Samuel Montagu, Southall, Honour and Glory, and Seven Hills (who traveled from Torquay!).
Representing our local Waltham Cross ABC, our boxers put on a remarkable performance in five bouts:
Frankie's Debut: Frankie made his debut in the world of boxing via a skills contest, marking the start of an exciting journey.
Mason's Triumph: Mason secured a unanimous decision in his very first competitive bout, showing his potential in the ring.
Riley's Unbeaten Streak: Riley remained unbeaten with a unanimous verdict against his Southall opponent, demonstrating his remarkable skill and determination.
Rory's Impressive Win: With 16 fights and 10 wins, Rory added another victory to his record by defeating a Samuel Montagu fighter via UD.
Brandon's Second Victory: Brandon continued his promising journey by winning his second bout against an Honour and Glory fighter, confirming his rising-star status.
The event showcased the dedication and talent of our boxers, making us extremely proud.
But the excitement doesn't stop here. Brandon, Mason, and Frankie will be returning to the ring on October 21st, so keep an eye on our club's Instagram page for more details and updates.
In the spirit of sportsmanship and solidarity, we'd like to extend our best wishes to Honour and Glory's coach, Giorgio, who will be making his professional debut against Jordan Grannum on November 25th at York Hall. We'll be cheering you on, Giorgio!
Our heartfelt thanks to all the officials, clubs, participants and supporters who made this event a memorable one. Stay tuned for more exhilarating boxing action from Waltham Cross ABC, where passion and talent collide in the ring!

Congratulations to Riley, Hayden, Kane and Lewie for their achievements in the National Championships this year.
We're fortunate to have a squad brimming with talented boxers who dedicate themselves to the sport.
In February 2023, Stuart Clench and the coaching staff presented last season's winners of BOTY with their belts, kindly paid for by WFA Flooring.
Throughout the previous season each of the boxers demonstrated a commitment to maintaining high standards, continuous improvement and fantastic attitudes - setting an example to our other members and making them a pleasure to work with.
